First Aid Posters
You need help? Remind staff of life-saving first aid procedures
First aid posters are a valuable tool in the workplace to promote awareness and provide reminders of first aid procedures. They will help businesses to comply with UK health and safety legislations in this regard. First aid measures can change the course of a person’s life. Displaying first aid posters in the workplace is a great way to allow people to brush up on what to do in the event of an emergency. There are a number of options from which to choose, such as emergency resuscitation information, and guidance on what to do about eye injuries, shock and burns.

Injury Prevention Information: Buying Guide
Prevention is the first line of defence against injury. The awareness posters come in several forms, and are designed to make employees stop and think about protecting themselves.
Accidents do happen, and while first aid posters can never be a replacement for training, they are very useful to serve as reminders and promote awareness – firstly of what to do, and secondly, that accidents can happen, and a person may be called upon to help. Posters may be fixed to a wall with mounting tape, or placed in a snap frame to give them more permanence. Placed where they may often be perused, they will allow staff to constantly refresh their knowledge so that they will remember what to do without hesitating if necessary.
You will find posters relating to different special areas of first aid, as well as a variety of general posters that deal broadly with first aid at work. Each of these general posters covers a range of common issues, such as bleeding, resuscitation, breathing problems, burns, eye injuries and shock, the equipment needed to deal with each of these emergencies is provided here at Seton. There is also a specific poster dealing with first aid for children.
Wall charts are in portrait style, and cover diverse topics. A general chart details each problem, and what action to take. There is a resuscitation guide, a burn chart, two charts that relate to shock and high-voltage shock, and one on accident reporting. They tend to be subject-specific, while the photographic posters and guidance posters have wider advice – for instance, adding information on dealing with burns or broken bones, which can arise from a shock accident.
Accidents must be logged, and for this you can use a handy accident book, which provides pages that you can tear out for the necessary reports. Such an accident book is supplied along with the posters, first aid kits and signs in the construction site starter pack, if ordered “with accessories."
Our photographic posters break down first aid responses using plainly laid out pictures, each with a title that shows the problem, and text points on how to proceed. The information is clear, concise and easy to follow. The eye wash photographic poster is a perfect addition to our eye wash and first aid station which comes with a notification sign and first aid kit attached to a durable station holding eye wash liquid. Guidance posters use pictorial illustrations alongside clearly marked steps to follow for a specific injury – for example, eye injury or burns.
Information point boards are unique in that they have a 3D header that catches the eye from a distance. It is worth mentioning that the burns and eye noticeboards have a panel to which you can add names and telephone numbers of first aiders. The Information Point is a handy tool that can be placed near a stocked first aid station. For customer ease, these Information Points also come in kits together with supplies.
The range of resuscitation posters is very useful, keeping staff aware and reminded so that they can react quickly in an emergency. Many employers are considering stocking the lifesaving Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Even untrained personnel can use this item, and there is a range of posters, which, while not serving as first aid training, will reinforce knowledge and help to prompt staff to use CPR when life is at stake.
